Race for Autism.

Barbara and I posing before the big race.

Ok, I just spent 20 minutes trying to upload photos and all that came up was a stupid error message. I'll add more later.

It was a good race. I jogged/walked 5K in 38 minutes. We have another race in April and I think we're doing another one in May.

Happy Spring!!

Ah. It's Spring time.

Pretty flowers = allergies. Woot.

I was never really into flowers. My mom would drive me nuts because she would always want to have a fresh bouquet of roses when guests would stay over at their house. But now, having my own place, I SO understand the whole wanting to have flowers . Damn. Another point for the "you'll understand when you're older" crowd.

So, my younger brother decided that he wanted to shave off all his hair, but I ended up convincing him that a mohawk would be way cooler. Heh. Needless to say, when I talked to my dad earlier today, he sounded a little displeased. His exacts words were "what happened" and "is he going to fix it".

I have my first little 5k run coming up this Saturday. The hubby wants to take pictures so I guess I'll be posting those later. Depends on how crappy I look because it'll be 7am in the morning and I'll be dirty.

Goodbye BSG.

''Whaddya hear, Starbuck?''
''Nothing but the rain.''
''Well grab your gun and bring in the cat.''

Wasn't able to post last night, got home late and stayed up until 2am to finish Daybreak Part II (series finale of BSG of course). I still don't know how I feel about the last episode. There were some really great parts that brought back the good old feelings from the very beginning of the series (the battle between Galactica and the colony was one of them) and then there were a bunch of "what the frack?!" (head six/baltar angels?) moments. There was also a lot of crying. Yes, you heard me right, I sobbed my eyes out when Adama was saying his goodbyes to Lee and Kara, it was the "Whaddya hear, Starbuck?" "Nothing but the rain" crap that got me going (one of my all time fave BSG quotes by the way). And I knew that Laura was going to die, but I still couldn't help crying over that either. My biggest disappointment would have to be the way Starbucks storyline was wrapped up. And her and Lee not being together really sucked the big one. I want to go back and watch it all over from the beginning. I'm feeling pretty empty. I felt like this after I finished the Harry Potter series.

On another note, I got my Twilight DVD!

So say we all.

If you don't know that phrase, then get the frack out of here.

Aww man, series finale of BSG tonight and I am excited/sad.

Excited because (hopefully) some questions will finally be answered, but so so sad because one of my favorite SciFi shows is coming to an end.

I'll post again later tonight after I watch the last episode.

Goober to the max.

I only say this because I can't believe how excited I am about the Twilight DVD coming out this Saturday. Weeeee!

And you know that I'll be buying the 3 disc special edition from Target.

Also, I'm guilty of wanting to purchase this:

Pad See Ew Night.

I'm pretty stoked because I was finally able to put my wok to use.
The aftermath, of course, is that my place still smells (I've been diligently lighting candles).
I took a couple of pictures...I had planned to take more, but since this was my first time ever making Pad See Ew (and using a real wok and not just a regular frying pan) I didn't anticipate how hot and how fast everything would be/cook. Oh, and you can get the awesome recipe here.

My wok:

Some of the ingredients I used:

Chinese Broccoli:

The finished product:

Cooking is fun. What should I make next?

I've lost an hour of my life.

Ack! Daylight savings time sucks.

I have no idea how I'm going to wake up tomorrow for work.

I am so screwed.

My first official blog post.

I read somewhere online that once you hit your twenties, you're required to start some sort of blog. Apparently I'm a little late, I'm already 25 and I'm just now starting one. For now this blog has no real theme and no concrete direction. It'll be random. Random updates and posts about the crap going on in my life and any other random crap that I happen to catch on camera or find interesting.
